Oh cool! And is that 40GB per person in a shared pool as well so that 4 people = a shared pool of 160GB? Or each person is on their own 40GB?

Not shared on those plans, each person has their own 40GB ๐Ÿ™‚

Yep each person for $35+GST gets unlimited 40GB with local number etc..

If you want more than 9 additional connections, then it is $38+GST per connection.

I am wanting to hear back to see if this can be done with a similar 100GB Lead plan.

I have tried to change my plan a second and a third time on both my iPhone and laptop and at the end of the process all I get is this:

It's unclear whether the process succeeded, but I don't think it did. I hope it failed, because otherwise they are probably going to start billing me every month for these three attempted orders.

You would think they would at least do a bit of basic testing before a major product launch like this.

In case you haven't heard already - the Endless Data XL plan (100GB) can't be used as the lead plan for the Business Team plans; the lead plan has to be Red+ Business Unlimited (i.e. the 40GB not-new one).

That doesn't stop you from mixing and matching - e.g. you could have one Endless Data XL with the rest on the Lead/Team plans, note though you wouldn't get the LNOM or any other business-specific features on the Endless Data XL plan.

I was at the mall and got the sms that I was almost out of data on prepay, and the friday offerings from last week were crap ones so thought stuff it, and changed to the $80 one which is half price for 3 months. Will reevaluate then when I get to the end of that.

Cant have musicpass on these which is a shame, as I would have been ok on a lower one if I could have kept that. 40 gig will probably equal what I have been doing in the past with micromanaging addons and friday deals, but at least I wont have a totally useless device on me when I am out of data. Bit of downtime with the change from prepay to postpay but it came up and running again while I was still in the shop.

A bit of a miss in picking up where Spark should have been, IMO, and offering an "Unplan Mobile" where you don't have to select how much you want but just get charged for the right tier. Still, a positive move and any competition is great to see.

Uh? It's not really an Unplan... I'd compare it to the unlimited. Skinny had one too didn't they? ;)

On a serious note. Quit giving ideas! Your still orange to me!

True, though it sounded like you hadnโ€™t heard back, and it was something I could answer (based on information not on the website ๐Ÿ˜‰)

Out of interest did you change your plan online, or did you do it through a store or the call centre?

I'm just wondering whether online plan changes are working for anyone else.

Nope, my gets stuck at proceed to checkout because it seems to forget my number.

Another case of 'haven't tested it, but it should work'

@alasta, try Edge Browser (worst browser ever!). It worked for me finally.

Out of interest is your mobile number 021 +6 digit

I don't have Edge Browser so can't try that, but yes, I have an old six digit number.

I have contacted Vodafone via Twitter and someone is going to look into it.

In store.

Was a move from prepay to account so not sure they could deal with in app.

Plans look like really good value - Iโ€™ve been wondering for a while when something like this would come to the NZ market. Well done Vodafone.

Will be interesting to see how Spark respond. Free Spotify is one thing, but outside of that these plans are simply better value.

Just missing eSIM (must have for me - iPhone diehard and need a work line too, but donโ€™t want to carry two phones). Hopefully Voda brings eSIM out sooner rather than later.

Looks like a very positive change in the right direction - Unfortunately it came 1 week too late - I spent an hour on the phone with Vodafone and ended up with customer retention after wanting more data than the 4GB my team got (I got heaps, the other 4 phones got 4GB) and they couldn't do ANYTHING for me. All of the offers they came up with were either spending more for 5GB instead of 4 and even then it was a bonus GB that only lasted 1 year so then I'd have to do it all over again or spend more money and get a shared Data plan which means constant monitoring and tweaking (I need data the most but would have to tweak limits if others ran out). The main reason I wanted more data was exactly what this offers - The ability to keep basic services like Find my Iphone working.

Its a shame the retention people couldn't at least HINT that if I wait a week things might change - Not sure if they didn't yet know or just flat out didn't care but thats 5 phones they lost as I switched to 2D :(

With 2D I'm getting unlimited (Really 40GB then slowdown but I'll never use 40GB) but I might just have stuck with the devil I know if it had been on offer as I'd been with them 20 years going from 2 phones to 5 over that time.

On the plus side I find my phone roams on data between towers much more smoothly on 2 Degrees than it did on vodafone (Retaining VOIP calls without dropouts now) but I'm sure I'll start to rue 2D when I go on holiday to fringe areas. Maybe these plans will bring me back at some point.
