Thats the rate that the operators charge each other, it isn't the retail rate.

I can see why they dont want to give the 600 text addon to prepay users, since if they all go off network thats almost $60 that they pay, in exchange for $13...

Still must be costing them a bit on the $30 plan that has 600 anynetwork texts...

I was jus reading replies over here and suddenly something struck me and i just went to the vodafone site to have a look on whats going around. to see if there are any changes / anything new i could spot.

guess what i found - another one for my topic :)

i was seeing consumer pricing plans and first thing i go to - motor mouth. Let me get a portion of the site -

"Motormouth plan
Motormouth is off-peak 24/7 for all calls to NZ Vodafone mobiles or NZ landlines. Now, international has gone local (call your friends in Australia, Canada, Ireland, UK & USA for the same price as calling a Vodafone mobile in NZ)."

sounds great to me - does nt it ? yeah ? ok wait lemme take to u the next paragraph.

How much is Motormouth?

Oh. so they have a link which they want me to visit some other site ( something says in my mind cud be fishy ) - but then, it cud b also to avoid clutter right?

200 Vodafone to Vodafone minutes (you can't use these for calls to landlines, other mobiles or international calls).

200 Vodafone to Vodafone TXTs.

10 Vodafone to Vodafone PXTs.

Always off-peak rates to Vodafone mobiles and New Zealand landlines.

The same rate for calls to Australia, Canada, Ireland, UK or USA.

HA! so ? still doesnt make any differnce ? First they tempt you that you can now make calls at the same cost you call a vodafone in NZ. and then what does the first bullet point just above me says ??

oh ya , ? why cannot i use MY So called 200 minutes to international lines wch is SO the SAME PRICE to the company ?? how come suddenly International COSTS is so different now ?? it cost same right ??? what on this whole earth could be more BLIND rip off than this guyz??

seriously i am not here to offend any one working for vodafone or something. I just want to point out and to show more and more ppl out here that what looks all good and probably cheap for you may not be the same in reality. and this is just a glance i am sure i will come up with more if i start digging.

thanks a lot for all the people who have replied in this topic. I would appreciate more participation and feedback for the same.

Yea but look at it this way, if all 600 text go off net, chances are the other perosn off net will be replying won't they? So Vodafone makes the money back when the other person replies.

This could be offered to prepay, they just chose not to.

Motormouth is an old plan, it was great in its day when the only other options were the off-peak Get plans.
