Im happy with how its going. One would be crazy to moan about slightly' slower speeds. But the cable modem dropping out like you Fretasm is bad but that's what this weekend is all about.... Be a shame to not be a power user and have your connection drop out.

I know how to pull data. I have many off shore servers and WIX nodes i own, I know how fast they go. I have seen from 6pm the connection fluctuate more than it normally is. There is now way its gone under 500kbit for me in Brooklyn. Its just flowing between 800kbit and 1300kbit. Not seen 1500kbit I normally would.

Im happy. I would love Telstra to come out mid weekend maybe and talk about how the cable network is holding up. I feel if most are going crazy pulling data they would be able to jump most plans upto 25mbit.....

Great Service Telstraclear this has been a great thing so far as lots have been talking about it.... But if my "Mum" who doesn't care about this weekend has their connection drop out its a fail sorry guys.

15Mbps Download before 6pm has dropped to 6Mbps. Upload dropped from 2.0Mbps to 0.5Mbps

pc: in khandallah on cable, same torrents that were running on wednesday night @ 1.2Mb/s and then paused are now coming down @ 250KB/s.

who would ever have thought unlimited in NZ doesn't work very well. maybe every ISP thats ever tried it.

its worked both times for Snap, so it can be done

I am so angry right now I had better express it no further than that. I'd arranged to game with others tonight and my game's completely unplayable. I pay for 40 GB a month, I need no more than that. I'm on cable in Ngaio.

Yeah doing some ping tests to a local WIX server and it is everywhere. Ive never seen it like this before .... range from 30 to 45ms then in one packet will go over 150ms and stay than way for a while then back down to semi normal pings. My server in USA to this server has a stable ping.

FYI - My connection is still pulling at 1.3Mbit while doing these pings. I dont use torrents in NZ and I have 8 workers running right now off shore through SFTP. Cisco 512W Router.

Im still happy here.... We all knew the network would be underload and at my place, its OK.

ooooo.... forgot to try my IAX trunk and see how that is. Off to do a few phone calls now.... Maybe one of the best test of a good network ?

My speeds have dropped right down to 200KB/s total while downloading 15 files, normal web browsing seems to fly along like usual though.

I am holding a MW3 PS3 lan tomorrow, seems like that might be a bit of a fail :(

Thinking that ISP's hold enough peering/international bandwidth to give every client full speed at the same time is like thinking Bank's hold the same amount of money they lend out...

Those doing speed tests or ping tests to WIX or anything hosted at WIX need to remember TCL don't peer there - your traffic will all typically route via APE.
