Hi micsco,

It has been cleared for use but has not been automatically distributed to all devices yet. If you require the update urgently, please contact our customer service center. An agent would be able to help you download and install the new firmware. Make sure you mention to the agent that this is the new trial firmware that is not yet publicly available.

So what's the progress on this? Do I still have to contact support to get this update?

Hi,

As I mentioned, the update is currently available on request. Please call our contact center and mention that you specifically want the update that fixes DNS issues.

I am not sure what the status on a global rollout is - I will find out from the Powers That Be and keep you posted.

Cheers,
Lon

Hi all,

We're approximately 5 weeks away from this update being made public and downloaded to all devices. In the meantime, if you do need the update and want to install the firmware yourself, you can download it HERE.

Cheers,
Lon

I've been using the firmware Lon posted above for a few days now and WOW it has fixed so many buggy issues I've been having with the router!
Webpages load on the first attempt every time, no Airplay dropouts and far less buffering in XBMC on my Apple TV (so far at least)

Its like I've got a whole new decent modem now
Thank you :D

I bet a lot of people with these Vodafone routers are going to notice the improvements when it is rolled out to everyone, even if they didn't realise they had a problem at all

I second this. Few glitchy issues I had are fixed and it's working smoothly now. Plus, it saved me nuking my hard drive.

Thanks VF!

I too have noticed a difference since installing the firmware. I used to get disconnections from the internet and I would get a message page from the modem saying there is a problem with your modem or words to that effect. Since installing this firmware I have not seen this message since and it has been about 5 or 6 days since firmware was installed.

Slightly OT, but does the SIPs area still work after the firmware upgrade - Lon, can you confirm that this wont be locked down?

It's been too long since I've tinkered with the ol router - my fingers are getting twitchy!!! Have noticed that website loading hasn't been so flash recently...

I'm running the new firmware with SIP and it's fine.

Sorry for the late reply, and thanks to previous posters who have already responded positively. Yep, this update plays nicely with SIP :)
