I sorta did yes, and from what I can gather its an extension of current networks using cabinets where possible or localised WIFI towers etc and APs at the home to let you tap in for broadband data extensions?

Not sure how you came to that conclusion to be honest, RBI coverage is just mobile coverage from a normal cell site Voice / data / SMS

Which I translated as, everyone in the area would need to get another device with directional antenna pointing at the cell site a few kms away to grab signal and get internet and VOIP. As oposed to clarifying more mini towers are being installed to cover blackspots.

The WIFI they are speaking of is just a normal WIFI connection for around the house it's this bit which makes it clear " wireless broadband connection " this is done over the mobile network, Normal mobile phones also get coverage off these sites

Mini towers are not getting installed these are Rural sites to cover large areas,

To put in in a nut shell the mobile network is getting expanded into more rural areas and the network will also be used to deliver home line and broadband services

Right, so yes. Hurry up and wait it is. Dammit.

I realised it was a normal Wifi router, and that a connection to it was provided by the cell network. Just read to me as another method of getting a data connection, that if you are too far from a tower (like we are now) you get a directional antenna to point at it. And your data connection is provided over that (much like the Cisco router for Voip/data on the BoF we get but wirelessly connected)

I couldn't filter out of the pages any mention of a method to extend voice calls from the tower (like suresignal), or that part of the initiative may entail the subdivision getting an expansion installed in it.

Your nutshell now confirms that it will be.. eventually :)
