They were out of stock over Christmas. I received one about a month ago when new stock arrived.
My views (except when I am looking out their windows) are not those of my employer.
PhantomNVD:
Surely the owner can just reboot the suresignal and 'drop' all the neighbours connections?
Perhaps a way to dial back its femto signal strength would work too... ie have to be in 10m range or some such...
They take 1hr to 24hrs to boot up and even then, if 10 devices are in range, your not guaranteed to be one of the 8 that can connect

Vodafone can whitelist mobile numbers, Id suggest you do that otherwise the local community will stand at your fence.

A bit late to the party on this topic. I purchased a second hand sure signal (v2) and was about to organise Vodafone broadband but noticed this thread. Do you know if you can use it via Ultimate Broadband ie Huawei box?
I should note I have plugged the box in but only the power light stays solid. The other two lights blink on and off.
If you are on the Ultimate mobile RBI network, be careful.
RBI modems have been known to lock onto nearby neighbouring suresignals. Probably makes it worse if the sure signal is so close - inside the RBI subscribers own home.
An RBI retail ISP in the south island was asked by vodafone to discourage RBI users from this as it was creating looping problems.

True, Did it many o times when i worked there.
Ask for a "manager" or specifically tell them what you want done and to escalated it to faults.

Looping is not a problem when not using RBI Voice and router is locked to 4G. Still the issue of someone else's RBI connection locking on to your SureSignal though, which having a device whitelist would resolve.

What do the indicators do when they are booting up? A Flashing power light and the bottom two LEDs orange by any chance? (Just trying to work out what's wrong with mine)

Here's an FAQ on the Sure Signal Lights.
MikeHales:
Here's an FAQ on the Sure Signal Lights.
Understood, and it's also in the manual that came with it. My sure signal arrived this morning (Rev 02, Manufactured Feb 2017).
If the power light flashes I'm supposed to "Make sure that my broadband router is connected to the internet" and to check the ethernet cable.
I've plugged it in, it's got an IP via DHCP, performed a DNS lookup (initial-ipsecrouter.vag.vodafone.co.nz) and it's now trying to connect on UDP 124.6.205.17:500. Packets are going out my PPP connection, but nothing is coming back.
124.6.205.17 doesn't respond to pings for me, but I get 17-19 msec pings to the last hop (124.6.205.5)
Can someone on a vodafone "fixed broadband connection" try and ping 124.6.205.17 for me? If you get a ping response it looks like I'm wasting my time and they haven't opened things up yet
I can confirm the sure signal device works fantastically when plugged directly into a Skinny 4G modem.

Just tried VF again, asked for it to be escalated to the manager, and after being on the phone for ages, they advised me that any VF employee telling you this should be shot, and no they cannot do it.
I didn't asked for it to be escalated to faults however.. Maybe try that tomorrow.
