tritex: Greytown certainly needs a cell site from VF. I totally agree to the above person. The only reason i and 99% of people i know living in the Wairarapa are not with VF is simply the coverage. It needs improvement. Alot of improvement, but i find VF not willing to invest in our area at all. I understand it's economics but still Telecom are far far ahead of VF in Wairarapa. You will find the last time VF built a cell site in Wairarapa was approximately 9 years ago. Since then Telecom have built numerous sites and improved their coverage hugely.
Telecom XT operates two cell sites in Martinborough (VF only has the 1) which probably helped XT customers in some way during the congestion of Toast Martinborough. All Wellington peoples 2 Degrees handsets would have been roaming onto VF while in Martinborough as well as theres no 2D's own network anywhere in Wairarapa.
Vodafone also needs improvement on coverage in Solway a suburb of Masterton as well as Riversdale Beach, Castlepoint, Lake Ferry and Ngawi. All covererd by Telecom but in many cases not at all by VF. Wairarapa has like 4 or 5 areas with Telecom cell sites where VF has zero coverage but none the other way around. :(

Vodafone does have plans and these have been on the Vodafone website for 6+ months

Geektastic:5 mbps would be an improvement on what I get at home now - around 3.2 to 3.5. (actually I just checked and we are only getting 2.97 to VF's own server in Auckland!)
