Everyone is testing against Vodafone's own server. Best try Wellington or Christchurch depending where you are.

Things remain incredibly solid here in Island Bay. My connection in particular seems to have gone from the worst of the worst to the best of the best. :D

StevieT:
My laptop is connected wireless, and that's the device I've been using to do these speed tests.

EDIT: just seen the 2nd lot of speed tests I posted. The ethernet one was done via the server in Palmerston North. Don't know if that would make a major difference, though.

It could easily make a big difference.

Saturday. 7:30 pm. Flatmates are both doing stuff on their desktops. I'm streaming a video on YouTube. The connection's under pretty heavy strain. It seems to have no issues coping.

Latency remains exceptionally low and consistent. There seems to be 1 ms variation at the worst, which is great to see.

Seems to be some kind of outage in Woodridge. Netflix stops, and most websites stop loading including this one. But some still load, like Facebook. Changed DNS settings and still nothing.

Edit: and its back up. Not running so flash now though. Speeds are the same but after a night of 1080p netflix, 480p just doesn't cut it!

I don't know if I'm imagining things but testing on IE gets considerably faster speeds than Chrome

For some reason I'm getting less-than-usual download speeds to Wellington VF server. My usual download speeds to Wellington VF for off-peak are 85-90 Mbps, My ping is fine.
