Hi.

We have a customer in Kumeu able to get 2mbps ADSL or 4G 240GB through Spark.

They aren't really able to survive with that, so I said I'd investigate to see if there were any WISP's operating in that area.

Anyone know of any?

Compass has a fair bit of wireless around Auckland, they might be up that way?

Is the data allowance the issue with going the 4G RBI route? Didn't Ultimate Broadband have something like a 500GB plan available? @coffeebaron?

There are a few 3G unlimited plans around, but speed can be an issue on 3G. There are not a lot of wireless provider options now, due to most of Auckland UFB'd out and some good VDSL coverage around. @networkn message me the address if you like and I can do some checks.

What part of kumeu?

My local wisp is looking to start targeting out that way after he's done with his current lot..

2.5km from the cabinet, so I have suggested a splitter install, as speeds should be close to 10, maybe a bit more if lucky :) Just depends is the 1Mbps upstream is an issue.

I would check with Stratanet

They are doing the RBI2 build for the area.
