This recently erected tower is in Dannevirke. On Allardice Street by the intersection of High Street. When installation started there was much chatter about 5G and conspiracies on the local community pages.

Is anyone here able to tell me what this tower is to be used for? I suspect it may not be live yet but who am I to know? The street light has not been installed on it yet.

A colleague at work has condemned it and "has proof that several friends overseas got cancer from 5G" so I am not 100% certain I will be able to get through to them. But knowing exactly what this tower is will be very important in this quest.

Now, let's not be so hasty. We should wait to hear this proof before having a good laugh about it.

Be able to get through to whom?

Sometimes I just sit and think. Other times I just sit.

Stock standard new VF cellsite.

Should be great for improving inbuilding coverage in the township, it was always a bit average due to the location of the other site. Spark already have an infill site in the township.

Thank you for that sbiddle. Any idea if it will be running 5G or not? So I can speak authoritatively to friend about it and attempt to talk them down from their high horse...

Yes and maybe.

The license is there and so is the equipment according to GIS. Is it actually live? Only a Vodafone rep would be able to tell you.

Oh bother! I was hoping (in vain it seems) to be able to get through with "good" news. Thank you all.
