coffeebaron: We have the new B315 4G router now. [ ... ] Even if there is no 4G, this router does faster Dual Carrier 3G anyway, so you will get a speed advantage now with this upgrade.

I'm switched to the new 4G/3G plan now, still with the 3G single channel modem, as the plan gets me more gigabytes for less money even if it doesn't give me any speed advantage.

Waiting for Ultimate to decide what upgrade plans they want to offer existing customers who want to upgrade to the 4G modem.

What speeds are you seeing in practice with the B315 router by people using it for 700MHz 4g RBI? Knowing that will help me decide if the upgrade offer is worth it once Ultimate works out what their prices will be.

I've seen quite a few tests all delivering 50+ Mbps down and 30+ Mbps up. Real world is a maximum of 300Mbps down and 100Mbps up with carrier aggregation.

It's not speed at the end of the day that should really be a factor, it's that LTE delivers a vastly superior data experience.

Wow, I now only get between 4 and 5 Mbps down, with 64ms ping. Even the 50Mbps @sbiddle said is much better. This looks like it will be worth swapping out the modem and antenna.

I've had the new B315 on test before installing for a customer. Was getting mid 40's fairly consistently. Tested also in a very low signal area and got mid 20's.
Latency is much lower too, so besides the speed increase, general broadband experience is significantly better too.
