The WiFi at the Auckland Airport is only available in the international terminal and it is not free for general internet access. I believe the free access is limited to airport related information.
International terminal
- Jean Batten international terminal, landside (passenger and visitor access areas)
- Cafe Down Under area, landside (passenger and visitor access areas)
- Café Espresso area - after passport control (passenger only access)
Domestic terminal
- Air New Zealand, airside Gate 30 (passenger only area)
- Qantas, landside (passenger and visitor access areas)
The public shopping and food court area, ground floor (passenger and visitor access areas).

Wellington Airport offers free wi-fi in the main area. All you have to suply is an email address.

and they will also have wifi

hoogy: I hear that the far north libraries have been installed so will add them soon. Do you have to buy anything for the neighbourhood bar wifi or can you just sit outside and use it. What do the proprietors think? I don't want to add any that are just leeching of an open AP without the owners knowledge.
