gmball:

Assume this is related to extra pressure from people working from home.

Unable to make calls on my Vodafone mobile for the past hour, just a pre recorded message, your call cannot proceed at this time due to congestion.

Is this network wide I wonder, or just my location. New Lynn, West Auckland.

I had a difficult time getting through to Spark today.  Calling 123, 126, Web Services, or Northland Hub resulted in either dropped connections or the "no such number" tone.

Finally I called the account manager for my region on his cell to ask what was going on.  He was working from home after Spark asked everyone at his office to not come into work. lol

myfullflavour: Interesting all our on-net SIP was happy days but handing calls over to other providers is where it all fell down. Time to get rid of the ancient handover methods and more to regular IP peering?

You know it's bad when an SS7 starts having issues!
