Maybe move to Spark - their roaming works fine in Australia. Skinny would have the same reception as Spark in Wellington. Otherwise 2 Degrees or One NZ roam well to Australia in my experience.

I know the title is about Skinny how ever I am on Spark.

I have been told that Spark and Telstra 4G networks are not compatible.

Not correct the issue is VoLTE is not compatible

Correct, I should have been more specific. Data and SMS are working it is the VoLTE where the problem arises .

The issue occurs with iPhones as well. I had the same issue when I was over there.

Both our phones are iPhones. My data didn’t work either. I could phone an Australian number but not the other Skinny roaming phone.

Back home now but definitely need to find an answer for further travel and will waste some time contacting Skinny.
