SomeoneSomewhere:

Zeronet does unlimited for $25/mo but capped at 3Mb/s.

They say to ask them the questions that "make other telcos sweat:" e.g.

"Am I allowed to use my phone as a hotspot, and will that also get slowed down?"

If you can’t share your data, it’s not really your data, is it? Make sure they don't cap your tethering.

Then in their own terms:

  • Hotspot – up to 10GB per month

Thanks for this, on my last month of MM at $20 fast plan, phone data only.

I need somewhere to switch if MM dont offer another deal before end of month.

Just to update this thread that Mighty Mobile's cheapest plan at $25/month is no longer unlimited data. You now only get 5GB at max speed, then you have to buy data packs.

It never was unlimited data. It was only introduced a few months ago and was always 5GB.

Don't inbound calls and text continue working even when plan is inactive? I'd just get a temporary prepay SIM for outbound calls and texts and for data until the $28/month offer rolls around again.

From https://www.mightymobile.co.nz/terms-and-conditions

HOTSPOT (Personal Hotspot / Tethering)

Except for Starter, each Plan has a Hotspot high-speed allowance (cap). Once you reach your Plan’s Hotspot high-speed cap, your Hotspot will continue to work, but it will be throttled to 1.2Mbps for the remainder of the month (or until your Hotspot allowance resets). The Starter Plan has no Hotspot high-speed allowance.

Your Plan’s Hotspot high-speed allowance:

  • Starter: 5GB at max speed including any Hotspot use.
  • Fast: 25GB of Hotspot at max speed, then 1.2Mbps.
  • Faster: 50GB of Hotspot at max speed, then 1.2Mbps.
  • Fastest: 250GB of Hotspot at max speed, then 1.2Mbps.

I've been on their cheapest plan for 12-18 months and it has been unlimited data for me since I joined them.

OK, to be more specific - the precursor to this current cheapest plan had unlimited data. It now doesn't.
