Currently, whenever I try to VOIP to an international number (UK/Japan) I get  "The number you have called is not in service".

I can't even VOIP my own NZ mobile number if I use 006421.... but can if I use 021...

I have a Fritz 7340 on Snap Internet using VFX for VOIP.

It was working last week on ADSL2, but line was upgraded to VDSL2.   I wanted the faster upload...   Speedest ping time in auckland however went from 8ms to 24ms.    Am on profile 8a (boo)....

I can VOIP locally and mobiles and can receive calls on VOIP from local or mobile (don't know about international receive).

Anybody got any bright ideas ?

This will be the dial plan on the box itself, if you send me the details of the calls and the time I will take a look but this will be the because the digits are not getting sent correctly I would take a hazard a guess.

Yes. Same box.... But firmware and VDSL upgrade done in same week... Not sure what broke it, but probably the firmware as the options around prefixing changed....

You shouldn't be dialling 0064 for local NZ numbers, just dial the normal 021xxx or 09xxxxx 03xxxx etc no requirement for 0064

As this post started, I get this when calling UK,Japan.   I have enough issues with phantom calls such that I do not want this inflicted on my relatives over there, so by way of example I Maverick time and date of attempt to call my own number using the full international number.   This should work.   It works on ordinary landlines, it works on all mobile phones.

Maverick, I will make test calls again tonight to what I know are working numbers in the UK and send you through the details.

Dialling 0064 does not test the routing for international numbers so its not achieving anything by doing this sorry, for NZ dial the local and national numbers

you have one attempt only to Japan which failed because it doesn't have 00 in front of it

there is only one call to a UK number which was dialled correctly but was released by the carrier upstream with no service available so possibly the number was not correct

you should try it again I dont think you have anything wrong here as you have one failed call but the test calls will not work with 0064 and the Japan number was dialled incorrectly with no 00,

Without knowing what your dial plan is it's hard to tell.

Today it is working.....   Can't say whether the trouble at the weekend was from a brain freeze, but it is working now...

Thanks.
