I realise this has been talked about before on this forum but the problem has never been resolved.

I have been using Asterisk for over a year. I was using it with iTalk originally but when their stability and customer service got the better of me I moved to 2Talk. However soon we will be moving to a new house with fibre and switch to Snap Plus because it was included in the price of fibre.

Naively I expected connecting the Asterisk server would be simple. I have read and tried some of the settings from Snap voip without FritzBoxitey and I am experiencing the same problems.

I have discovered from the Snap Plus web interface they they are using a Metaswitch Networks solution. After googling this I found the following Asterisk configuration infomation Asterisk How to connect to Metaswitch however this has been of no use. I am not seeing the 401 with the realm as they suggest you will. I just get a 403 forbidden with every password combination I can think of.

If anyone has any suggestions of what to try next they would be greatly appreciated. Alternatively if anyone has a Fritzbox and fibre that can get a Wireshark dump of the Frizbox connecting to the SIP server I would be incredibly grateful as at this stage I will have to buy a Fritzbox and sell it on Trade Me afterwards.
