Is it possible to transfer a call between devices that are using the One Number (shared line) feature of 2talk, either by 'call parking', or attended/blind transfer, or another method?

I have 2 VoIP devices that run different lines at home:

Single "Home" personal line: Grandstream HT801, 0x-xxxxxxx, runs multiple cordless Panasonic handsets around the house (e.g. kitchen, bedroom)
Office: Grandstream GXP2170 - with multiple work lines:
1. Plus runs "home" line as 'One Number', e.g. 0x-xxxxxxx-1

Scenario:

I'm working in the office
The "home" line rings on the GXP2170 (as 'one number')
Keeps ringing and ringing (meaning wife hasn't picked up Panasonic phone)
I answer call, but its for the wife, or I need to take the call on a cordless phone (e.g. discuss something in the garage)
How can I transfer or park the call, so its taken on one of the cordless Panasonic phones connected to HT801?

Possible?

Or should I stop taking the wife's calls 😉🤣

I dont think it will be possible.

I would suggest instead if using one number, put a 028 number on your office phone, and set up a ring group instead. Then you can answer the call, and transfer it to the home line.

Actually, this seems to work.

Our setup is 3 ip phones in the house on one number using the -1, -2, -3 suffix thingo.

I dial our number from 1 of the phones (a) and the other 2 (b & c) start ringing. I answer phone b and press ##, the operator says 'transfer', I then dial our number again and the phones start ringing again. I can then take the call on ph c.

My only qualification with this is that we have 2 numbers with 2talk (the other one at a remote location and not used for this experiment), so I don't know if that makes a difference. You do say that you have several work lines so I assume that it will work for you regardless.

When you get to step 5 in the scenario from your earlier post ("5. How can I transfer or park the call, so its taken on one of the cordless Panasonic phones connected to HT801?"), try transferring the call back to your external number again. Do the other phones ring?

Note you might get call-waiting notification on your local phone about the "new" inbound - if you do, just ignore it.

I have a similar setup - however I have an 028 for each "line" that we have (phone at work, 2 phones at home). By having a line on each, I've been able to setup a "shortcode" - so from home my wife can dial 5999 and it will ring my phone at work. I'm guessing that I could use the shortcode when transferring.

I haven't testing the transferring yet. (I used to run asterisk at home with transfers working - but my asterisk setup didn't provide all that I needed, so I dropped asterisk.

Brilliant, thanks @traderstu & @speed, that approach works!

From the GXP2170 office phone I have 2 different ways to transfer a call back to the home number:

Either press the 'Transfer' soft key, dial home number.
Or press ##, and dial home number.

In both instances the other Panasonic cordless phones all ring, and can be answered.

And yes I get a call waiting notification on the GXP2170 saying the "home" line is ringing, but can just ignore it.

Tested this by calling the 'home' number from my mobile, and while its being transferred from the GXP2170 I get some hold music, nice.
