Grabbed a couple of these from trademe.. perfect little device so far actually, not a bad buy:

My only query is, does anyone else have these? and if so, do you have any firmware sitting around for them? the latest I've found is V1.6.60.50 ... Which is only ~18 months old. that version is here:

Dont like your chances much :( most of those chinese non brand name devices rarely get firmware updates... Although the manufacturer website seems better than most.

Our company has got a office in shenzhen where that device appears to be manufactured so I'll see if I can get someone to look around on baidu or ring the manufacturer about newer firmware.

Just an update there is potentially this

Basically there is definently a version 017 firmware for your phone as one of my staff contacted the manufacturer and asked but they wouldnt provide him the firmware (I guess they only supply directly to distributors?)  So I got him to search and he came up with this page which is where the file is from.

Are you able to read your phone documentation and confirm tftp settings etc.. work before trying the upgrade? Be good to know if it the firmware bricks it you can recover it.

If your worried I can get the staff to try on another day and maybe get a different person on the phone who could be more helpful.

The Manufacturer turned around and sent the file in the end Cool  I've uploaded it to here.  It's the latest and I'm more confident its the right one.

You're a legend! Thanks dude.

I wasn't really that bothered, just wondering if I could find the latest version to apply.. So far there's not really anything wrong with the firmware I have.

Thanks again though.
