Help guys!

last night my internet was down and i restart my router this morning, thing looks ok (internet) after i restarted. i am however cant make call from my voip phone which was with 2talk and use a Linksys SPA3102 adapter.

it has got dial tone, and i can access to the SPA interface. there are two lights on the SPA keep flashing and the 3rd light which normally line1 is not on. i also notice my router's Lan indicator keep flashing and the router interface shows 1 LAN connections while i have 3 cables connected to it. (My TV, WD livehub and the SPA).i am able to use Skype on my TV which so i think the LAN connection is working for the TV one.

i am using the Orcon homehub sx763 as my router. no changes was made to my SPA or router configuration but simply a restart. so anyone can advise how can i sort this out would be appreciated. below is the screen of the LAN setting in my SPA, let me know if you need me to upload any screenshots.

If you're getting a dialtone with no LINE1 light on you clearly have a long standing configurtrion issue with your SPA (probably enable call without reg enabled). You shouldn't have a dialtone with no SIP registration.

You'll also need to explain your network setup as you shouldn't have anything plugged into the LAN port of the SPA3102 if it's behind an existing router and you're using NAT on the SPA3102. This means every device behind the SPA3102 has double NAT.

Have you had the SIP ALG disabled by Orcon?

Thanks Sbiddle, not sure i am using NAT, was told to do it when i had problem setting up my voip initially from geekzone by someone. it is now working so i might just leave it as is.. i am however having another question..

i am trying to use a 2nd line on my SPA which rout via a long extension cable to my downstairs flat. i have got the GN from 2talk and registered from them the interface but cant hear any dial tone.

i have following all set up for my line2 as line1 except the port is automatically set to 5061 while line 1 is using 5060, from the status below i cant see any problem.. i am not sure if i have done something wrong in wiring. what i have done is: i use a RJ11 to BT cable with one side go to the SPA and the other side plug to a extension cable, i cut the BT end of the extension cable and connect it to a wall jack which i use the red in slot 3 and green in slot 4 (black,red,green,yellow) . please would you help? many thanks..

You should test Line 2 WITHOUT the extension with the handset and cord from Line 1. If it works then you know it's the extension cable. If it doesn't work then you know it's the configuration.

have tested without the extension line and it works fine... so issue looks like either the extention line or the phone jeck connection...
