I would say no you can't.....it's more of an extension to the same line.

iTalk allow multiple trunks from the same account, I still don't know whether this is a planned "feature" or that they simply can't fix their network to stop it. VFX only allows a single trunk at a time.

Most VoIP providers anywhere in the world will only give you a single trunk on a basic plan but allow you to upgrade. Personally I think multiple trunks is a great thing if you're running Asterisk however there are very obvious reasons why you don't give it away for free like iTalk do. The issue of incoming/outgoing trunks on VFX was discussed by Phil in another thread.

Interesting to see that iTalk supports multiple trunks. Would this not degrade the quality of the calls if all trunks are sharing the same bandwidth? Glad to see the positive comments for iTalk as well as vfx.

I have found the call quality to be very good when I'm using a decent internet link - especially from Australia where DSL2+ seems to be the norm with new connections now.

It would only degrade if you don't have sufficient bandwidth.
