Thanks everybody for feedback. I have spoken to Panasonic and they have given me some options for some single handsets that will support GAP. I will plug that into the VF modem and the Fritz!fon's will then be able to register to the Panasonic unit.

It still is a very poor setup though as you'll lose 99% of the functionality of the Fritz!fon. I'm pretty sure I mentioned in your previous thread the best option would still be making a cable to use the FXO input on the Fritz!box so the Fritz!fon is still connected to the Fritz!box. This is the only option I'd go down in your scenario.

Yes, I do believe you did say that. But as I'm some what tech challenged, I would need some step by step instructions on how to do it.  Are you willing to provide a step by step solution to help me out please ?

TIA.

Matey, just unplug the ethernet connection to your Fritzbox, then get one of these and plug it  between the two boxes phone ports.

Job done!

Im no expert on Fritz!fon but why dont you just buy a fritz box, I am making the assumption it will work properly with the fritzfon.

Why dont you just use that to connect to the internet?

The OP actually started this discussion in another thread first. Basically has multiple Fritz!fon's and a Fritz!box but is changing providers to one that only supports managed CPE for VoIP.

Vodafone have already told me they won't support or help me set it up. I have to use their Modem if I want it to work out of the box.

OIC thanks for filling me in. I am trying to help where I can so...  I have a Panasonic TGP600 base you can borrow to test it out before you buy one if you ask nicely. I am making the assumption that that is the unit panasonic want you to try? I am in Aucks.

Thanks for the offer of the TGP600. I'm in the Chch area so I think I will try speed's suggestion first .....

So, finally after a bit of a small delay from VF, I am up & running internet wise but can't get VOIP working. I have plugged the YT6042 cable in to phone / phone ports on boxes without joy. But when I plug an old Panasonic cordless into the VF modem it works. What am I missing with the box to box setup via cable ??
