sbiddle thanks That sounds somewhat reasonable. I did have a look around and atm there are not that many of those/similar ones around. So I need to seriously look at them.The setup I have with grandsteam handytone is ok, though for overseas calls it just does not make it. Have tried all sorts.
I only use and install the Cisco SPA5xx small business series. Have tried a few in the past and find these to perform the best. You would be looking between $200-$300 range depending on the number of lines on the phone

They are good phones but do lack in a few areas when compared to other devices.
There is no XML browser, audio quality (while good) is definately not a match for Polycom, and it's annoying that the softkeys can't be remapped.
I've had a Cisco 509G, Polycom IP450, Yealink T28, Aastra 55i and Snom 820 here for a couple of weeks to play with and IMHO the perfect IP phone does not exist!
