Excellent!

I see them going in Aus for ~AUD$270 -> AUD$300, so we can expect them for around NZD$350?

Most reviews online seem pretty good!

got a cisco srp527 from PB Tech last friday. Expensive at $400 but seems a nice device

that would be an ecumenical matter

I'm craving some good local reviews now, specifically of the FXS / FXO ports and tying them in with Asterisk! :D

Also interested in the reliability & QoS ... ?

Hmmm this makes for a possible upgrade then this is interesting as recently i have been thinking it would be nice to upgrade to a wireless N router but without knowing of a supportive router/modem then i would not be interested due to not wanting to go back to the ATA + modem setup. I like my all in one models hehe.

I've had a SRP521 now for over a month for testing and must get around to writing a brief review of it when my job stops getting in the way!

They are a rock solid unit that has fantastic QoS and does a great job with DCSP tagging. Multiple VLAN's can be set for the LAN + WiFi as well as multiple SSID's (so you can keep voice + data by themselves).

It also has great IPV6 support.

How easy is it to setup the QoS so that VoIP will be prioritized, even if you're hammering the connection with torrents and youtube and the likes?

Simple. And there is also great DCSP support enabling you to prioritise any devices behind the router that you're tagging traffic on - you can prioritise all traffic based on the DCSP tags.

Installed a SRP527 today. Once the device was provisioned, I lost the ability to log in to it. I.E. I can't check things like DSL stats, change network settings etc.

Is this normal, as it should normally just be the voice config that is locked?

Either that, or the admin password got corrupted when it was provisioned (had already changed from default before provisioning).

Can you elaborate on the IPV6 support? Does this mean that you can use the dual stack ipv6 option from xnet, or, is it some sort of bridge / tunnel?

With these units the Voice Module is locked down under the admin settings Cisco have changed the way these boxes work now with this product range, the Cisco user has all the rights as the admin apart from Voice Module settings access which is locked down under that admin logon.
