Hi, Ok. This is my first smart phone and I quite like it. The battery life isnt great but then I have absolutely everything switched on. Have you seen the big accessory monster battery you can get maybe 4 times bigger than this one?

I have disabled swype which helped with battery life but still only get a day and a bit. Haven't seen the battery

A day and a bit sounds great. I have lots more settings to adjust as yet.
I was relieved that it actually can pick up a satellite. Did you get the GPS app? GPS TEST by Chartcross.
Have a look on Android Market. Its great.

Yeah, it works but not very well, one issue I had was the call not hanging up properly on the Sipdroid. I have since gone back to my WAG310G for VFX and left the other free 2Talk number on Sipdroid.

Anyone here using CSipSimple. Appears to be a well thought out client.

Generally known online as OpenMedia, now working for Red Hat APAC as a Technology Evangelist and Portfolio Architect. Still playing with MythTV and digital media on the side.

Hi, yes it does look nice. I can get it to work with callcentric.com but not with xnet. But maybe you will have more luck than me.

Yep, I'm using CSipSimple - had much better luck with it than SipDroid on my N1 - IMHO it's better integrated into call logs, more intuitive, more stable, more features (except no video calling, but I could never get it working in any usable way on SipDroid anyway). I use it frequently with only occasional weirdness (either caller can't hear me or very high latency), but that's far better than what was more-often-faulty-than-working SipDroid (but YMMV). I briefly tried the built-in SIP phone on Gingerbread but decided it didn't have the features I wanted that CSipSimple did.

Using with 2Talk FWIW

I had in the past managed to get xnet working with sipdroid but just recently I can not make out going calls
I get a green dot saying it is connected, and voice mail notification but can not make out going calls.
I am assuming that because it is registering and receiving incoming calls all my settings are correct but can not understand why I cant make out going call via wifi.
