traderstu: One of my most used features (with 2talk) is remote dial tone. I use this to route my cellphone calls through my 2talk account. This means I only have to top up my prepaid cellphone once a year and my calls only cost 10c/ minute to a landline. Be aware that if you are calling another cellphone using this method you pay for both legs so the savings aren't so great. To simplify the dialling process I use GeoDialer on my Samsung, my partner uses a simdialer in her Nokia.\
And herein lies another advantage: both mine and my partners calls are routed through the same 2talk account.

traderstu:sonyxperiageek: When you set up call forwarding, does that outgoing call to your specified number get charged a minute from your voip plan? So say if you were on 2talk10 and you set up call forwarding to your mobile. I'm guessing you would have to pay the couple of cents per minute of that call forwarded?
Yes, you do pay but depending on your 2talk mobile bundle it is only 7 - 10c/minute (+GST)

sonyxperiageek: Doesn't that have to be bought with a 2talk plan?
My views (except when I am looking out their windows) are not those of my employer.

But can you both happen to call out at the same time, work?

So if you have minutes on your 2talk plan, it would take it off there and not charge you, unless you go over your minutes?
