Guess MS is getting ready to release it in NZ I suppose seeing the NZ link letting me buy Zune pass as of today.

Pricing is cheaper than rdio and Spotify.

I've used that program - you know, Paint .Net - to resize the gigantic image.

Spotfiy is also $12.99 but has the unlimited option for only $4.99 as well.

I wonder how the music collection compares to Spotify and others.

I don't see this option in the URL https://live.xbox.com/en-NZ/Subscriptions. This is what I see:

Either is not available to everyone yet or only available to Xbox Live Gold members.

I'm an X-Box Live Gold member but I can't see this yet.

It must be rolling out slowly.

I wanted to cover the URL bar in browser as a working proof hence had the screenshot in bigger size to cover all the content.

Xbox music will have 30 million songs. Zune pass has between 15 million to 18 million songs. With yearly membership, it's buy 10 months and get 2 months for free for $129.99 else it's $12.99 each.

The benefit of Zune pass is you can subscribe to a streaming option and also purchase individual music/albums, something which rdio, iTunes, Spotify and 7Digital lack. They either offer streaming or purchasing music outright depending on which provider you choose from the list.

To see the pricing options, you need to go to below URL, click 'try now', sign in and you will see the pricing option for NZ if you signed in with your NZ ID in the previous step. Before, when you would sign with NZ ID at the US link , it would tell you that Zune pass is currently not available in your region.

http://www.zune.net/en-us/products/zunepass/default.htm

I have signed up to the 30 day Zune pass trial. My NZ credit card has been attached my NZ Windows live ID for years due to Xbox live, and it processed the $0 payment for the trial too.

Now, I cannot use the service anywhere at the moment, because NZ Windows phone sign-in, NZ Zune software sign-in, Windows 8 app with NZ ID sign-in and Xbox 360 with NZ ID sign-on do NOT have Zune music/music pass option for NZ subscribers.

So save your 30 day trial until 26th October which is when it will be launched in a lot of countries around the world. Brazil, Germany and Austria, got their Zune pass subscription just yesterday as well (unofficial atm).

Edit - Actually, I can listen to and buy music from Zune.net's website directly so it is now a working proof with my NZ Windows live ID signed in :-)

nathan: http://xbox.com/music

Does this link work for anyone? I get a "page not found" error but my configuration may be confusing it (I'm using a Japanese OS and the site's using language-based geolocation instead of IP address!). I've told it that I'm in NZ which has changed the error message into English but it's still giving the error.

Try this one instead. Obviously NZ is not supposed to see it.

Right, that one works but I wasn't sure whether NZ was supposed to see it or not :)

22 markets are getting the service with xbox music subscription and out of the 22, 15 markets will also be getting the free music streaming service to their Windows 8 devices.

With Zune pass pricing now available via a simple hack, I am sure we will make it to the initial 22 markets atleast.

What hack is this? I thought you had access through the page you posted in the OP without any "hack".

Hsck is simply to signup to the trial via US Zune pass link. After that, change your browser language to US English in control panel of your OS and then go to www.zune.net and sign in. Stream whatever music is then available on your PC.

Good news. NZ is one of the 15 launch countries that will get Xbox music pass, Xbox music store and free Xbox music streaming on Windows 8 mahcines on 26th October.

For first 6 months, xbox music streaming will be unlimited ad supported. After 6 months, it will be limited to 10 hours/month.

Pricing, I am sure will be what i posted in first post which was displayed when I signed up Zune pass via my NZ Windows live ID.
