Im at work, and ive been asked to install office 2003 professional on one the work laptops.

I installed it, and it installed perfectly.

I go to activate it and it says that the product key has been used to many times and i can not activate it, The office 2003 is the business copy (professional) and they have successly activated before using the company name (papakura joniery).

Why is this happening on his laptop??? Its under the company name, and all the laptops and computers are compaq.

Is there any kind way i can activate it or avoid having to activate it??

Im so lost on what to do. LOL

Any Idea's?

The software is licensed to one computer only, unless you have a special volumne license. If the company bought a single copy of Office 2003 from a retail store, then installing in multiple computers is not allowed.

If you have a single copy of Office 2003 Professional and install in more than one computer, when activation time comes it will notify you that the code is being used too many times.

Depending on the number of computers you have this installed you may have to reconsider the licensing, and either buy more copies, or apply for a volume license.

The company name has nothing to do with it.

Best call Microsoft NZ, it should be on the Activation dialogue that if you have any problem activating your copy of software, call them and they'll try to sort out what is up with the licence/key.

If this is the genuine copy, then you won't have to worry about calling them (as you have nothing to hide, right? as it is the genuine copy).

Still, it will be needed to clarify if it is a single copy, or a volume license. Single copies can not be installed in multiple computers simultaneously.
