Can someone out help, please?

When I shut down windows, I keeping getting a message saying

This program is not responding, explorer.exe, then when I shut it down, I get another message saying please shut down.
Minor I know but if I forget my laptop drains all the power

Does anyone have a solution?

It could be many things - but check which programs you have running before closing Windows... Then try closing each manually and see if it works ok after all programs are gone. Also close programs in the system tray.

Once you identify which program is causing the problem then you can check for updates, patches, etc.
