Perhaps you should try something like LogMeIn then. It does not require any IP configuration or changes on your router.

There's no invite.

You install LogMeIn on the home PC. From your client desktop you log into your account through the web browser, click on the link corresponding to your home PC and that's it, you have remote control.

You only have to "accept" if you are already using your home PC and invite someone else - not you - to access your computer in a sharing mode.

Try again.

you can go to help abd support found in your start menu, and search for remote assistance it will pop up with help and infomation undet that it will say remote assistance click it udner all the writing it will say advance setting set that all up it will then save a file in documents from their you can send the file so people can oppen it, you will have to accept the incoming connection once done, they have power over your computer,

i tried it on my 128 ram computer with 2.5mb it was lagging quite a lot , so hope you have better which u obviously do =/

remember only send the file to people you trust and know

Remote Assistance has nothing to do with Remote Desktop access.

Export Remote desktop should be fine, yes getting it sorted on a lan is easy... but to be able to access it from the outsite you need to set up port forwarding from your router to your system.. the incomming port for remote desktop is 3389 so if you forward that port to the internal lan ip of the system you want to access, you should be away.

Ive done this a number of time, so if you have any queries, I may be able to help you.
