Hi all. I reinstalled win7 and stuffed it up royal. For some reason I could not use the motherboard disk to install any drivers, it just didnt work. I've managed to install some of the drivers I need using my laptop and a flash drive. However, I still need to figure out what to install to fix a couple of things in the device manager and I hope someone can guide me.

PCI Simple Communications Controller
Universal Serial Bus (USB) Controller.

I know the ASUS site should have the drivers but I just don't know which ones to get?

My PC

ASUS P8z77-vlk
win7 64bit

Any help greatly appreciate it!

Have you done the Management Engine Interface drivers or Intel CHipset drivers (Under the Chipset section on Asus support website)?
The USB one will be the USB3.0 drivers, there are two options there by the looks of it, AsMedia or Intel.

Opinions are my own and not the views of my employer.

I've done the - Intel Chipset Driver V9.3.0.1019 for Windows Win7 64bit---(WHQL).

Should I go ahead and do the Managment Engine Interface?

Ok I went ahead with the other install. Seems I just needed to have a go. All is well know thank guys for your help :)

I do have one more problem though. I have an SSD and a regular HD in my PC. My SSD is working fine and I have installed the OS to that. My HD has seemingly disappeared though. I'm guessing there is some way to enable it again?

Never mind I fixed it. The disk was not initialised. I initialised the disk and then created a new simple volume and that has worked :)

Moved to the correct forum.
