I have a Compaz/hp laptop with Vista home.  I have bought xp home to roll back to.  The only question I have not been able to resolve is if rolling back will be compatible with DIRECTX10 drives......what do I need to do, if anything, to resolve this?

Just my .2c worth, when you roll back your OS to XP you can only have DirectX 9.0c because DirectX 10 is only compatible with Vista, for now. I have searched for DX10 for XP to no avail. Just a question, why would you want to go back to XP when you already have Vista? Cheers!

So, do I just download Dirext X9? and that fixes it?  I am downgrading because none of my games, dvd burners, programs will run correctly on vista, I am also not compatible with my xp desktop.  Also VISTA sucks period.

When you do a clean install of Windows XP, DirectX 9 is already included in the installation process or after you have installed XP you could download the latest version of DX9 from Microsoft's website. Hope this helps. Cheers

You're video card will be ok. It only means it is compatible with DirectX 10, that's all. Cheers
