Hi

I have a win7 .gho image which was built for non-uefi. Is there a way i can convert this to gpt so i can image a pc with uefi.

I tried turning off uefi and boot the drive that was imaged using .gho but sys doesnt detect the hdd.

Any advises

From what I've worked out using Lenovo tablets with UEFI. It's network or bust.

Even the factory image is an approved UEFI keyed USB stick that loads PE, disables a lot of the checks and enables write before copying data to the partition

You might be best to work out using the old guides how to make a local PXE server with basic PE image and mount the image as a source for files to dump it on

MBR and GPT are two different partition table types, also different boot environments - I dont beleive it is possible. You may be able to take the main OS volume and cloning that to a GPT partition, booting from the windows DVD in UEFI mode and running a boot repair.. it MAY find the OS and setup the boot portion of the disk for you?

I have tried this previously. What I did was start a enw UEFI install (note the board had to be in UEFI only mode) which created the partitions for GPT. Then close the backup to the main system partition and run a boot repair?

It would be good if there was a utility for like GPT conversion.
