In the control panel I have "Administrative Tools" - "Local Security Policy" but where is the local group policy???

Are group policies part of Windows XP? I thought this was only an 'NT' concept.

maybe not. This is part of my other thread. I want to block access to certin things such as control panel etc....

Other than gpedit.msc the other command for what you were getting is secedit.msc
but reason i posted is I saw topic Group Policy and not local, so heres a tip for others to use Group Policy on other PC's in the LAN,
Click START, RUN then type:
gpedit.msc /gpcomputer: IP here
