Trying to make a new USB installer using the MediaCreationTool1803. So far 3 computers all doing the same thing. Sitting at 0% of the download. As an experiment I tried doing the 32bit version instead and that downloaded and errored during the copying to the USB.

Only thing they have in common is they are all running Windows 10. Two using the April update and one the Fall update. Has worked perfectly before so Im guessing the creation tools been updated or the win10 x64 image is offline?

Very annoying!

Guess I'll try rufus and use an iso I previously downloaded.

i used MediaCreationTool1803 yesterday, was working fine, i both downloaded the iso and created a new usb key

i just tried it again, but i think its cached it, it downloaded within a minute, to fast

1803 seems to have issues with both intel and toshiba ssds, maybe they are blocking it

Ive downloaded it before without any problems. I'll give it another go tomorrow. Could just be the world conspiring against me :p Made another stick with rufus and a previously downloaded iso so its not big deal. Just easier to do it with the creation tool :)

If you have access to a Linux computer you can download the full iso. I downloaded Windows 10 1803 64 bit and it was meant to be 4.3 gb but Linux reported it as 4.7. It barely fitted onto a 4.7 gb DVD, I could see about 1 mm of 'unburnt' space if that makes sense. I can't remember how long it took to download but the download started very fast and then slowed a lot.

I realise this is slightly off topic but may be of use.

When a person accesses that page it detects that you are not using Windows & does not force you to use the media creation tool.

Well its downloading now. So who knows. Just like when your out on a job just about to leave something stupid will go down and muck up your schedule :p
