I have been doing a major clean out and realised I had a whole bunch of cds that I haven't touched in years. Some not a lot but a few are genuine windows program disks that I will never use again. Is there any market for these? A reason someone might want them?. Seems a shame to just dump them.

Worthless without matching install keys
Worthless if obselete versions (with a few exceptions).

Cant be (legally) installed on another PC if any are OEM , ie cant re-use install keys if they were OEM.
Some older versions of software cant be activated anymore

 

Put the whole lot on trademe in a single auction, try your luck. :-)
I prefered the older versions of MS Office .

I think OP was just talking about the media (sans key), that people might want for reinstalling or something. I know in the past I've kept a stash of different windows media to make sure I could do repair installs for people, but virtually everyone is on Windows 10 now and it's not really the issue it used to be.

Some of those older Windows and Office disks look nice though. I found a few NT4 Workstation disks the other day. Boring they may be, but they reminded me of a better time.

Jesus, I do not consider NT4 in any shape way or manner a positive experience. I recall Blue Screens, lock ups and many other types of misery like endless hardware incompatibilities. 

 

Admittedly toward the end, things had gotten better but oof, please never lets go back to that.

But the startup sound was the best Microsoft has ever produced in any OS!!!

I recall installing Microsoft Office from floppy disks on a few laptops circa-1993. It was a tedious process for sure. IIRC, they were 486s, and only the really important people got colour screens.
