Microsoft pushed out the Office 365 "New Look" to me on my Windows 10 laptop quite some time ago, and I've gotten quite used to it.

I just got a new Windows 11 laptop, and upon installing Office I have the old look, and the megaphone icon which which would allow me to enable it is not there. Everything I'm reading says that this is probably still being rolled out, but that it is available to all Windows 11 users. But I'm running Windows 11 and don't have it, but I did on Windows 10!

Both are running the same built of Office and are signed in with the same MS account.

Obviously it's not causing any functional issues, but it's frustrating when the new design was done to look more consistent with Windows 11 and I can't get it any more.

I also noticed that when I log into the Office portal and look at the installs, it lists the new laptop as Windows 10.

Does anyone have any ideas?

These things have staged rollouts to manage debugging issues before they have a wide public release. It'll come to all eventually.

Surface Pro 8.

Just got off a call with MS. It should be available, but the person I spoke to said that she personally has had multiple Surface users with the same problem - all still unresolved. She collected info to send up the chain.

Unbelievable that they have these sorts of problems with their software on their own devices.

It is not a problem. It will be available eventually.

I expect it's intentionally disabled for some specific reason. Touch capable perhaps. Try the preview build?

It's not causing issues, but it's still annoying having my shiny new laptop with the old Office interface :(

Had it for months on Surface 5 Pro, and not keen on preview build to get back a feature I've had on the regular release for months. MS support said it should be available to anyone running the latest stable build, and indicated it appears to be a problem with some newer Surface devices (but that's level 1 support so needs to be taken with a grain of salt).
