Sorry if this is a dumb question but havent used XP for a long time.
I have been setting up an old computer that runs WinXPPro. It used to autoboot ie turn it on and Windows loaded.
After running SP1 and SP2 updates it now wants me to click UserName before it will finish loading, any way around this?
Thanks.

Start -> Run

Enter "control userpasswords2" (without quotes)

Click OK.

You can change the autologon settings there.

As an alternative, all fancy GUI & other stuff:

TweakUI for XP.
-> Logon
-> Auto logon

This also means that you have to have the Ctrl+Alt+Del option disabled and have no policy popups that you have to click OK on.
