I have a MSI laptop in my house that is connected to my wireless network and it use to do so just fine but all of a sudden when it gets turned on and logged into it says it has limited access to the network.

But when connected via ethernet cord it connects just fine as soon as i turn it on and log in it is connected to the network properly and has internet access.

When i log in and connect wirelessly it says limited access and slowly connects to the network but doesn't have internet access. It takes about 5 minutes to go from limited access to network but no internet access.

Every other laptop connects to the wireless network fine.

Can anyone help me with this problem

Try reset your wireless adaptor on the laptop . Easiest way is to diagnose the connection and follow prompts.
Try resetting the modem too. Also, add the connection as your preferred network

Try to update the driver for the wireless adapter mate.

this is what i would try in this order.

1 make sure sombody hasnt put a static ip in your wireless adapter
2 delete out any wireless profiles then set up wirleess profile/security from scratch.
2 winsock fix
3 uninstall network adapter delete drivers, go to manafactures website download new drivers install them reboot.
4 if this still does not work reset up the wirless on the router from scratch and change the ssid as well as the encryption for now try no encryption if it works change ssid then add encryption try wep first then go to wpa.

Hu? did i do that?

Has it ever worked with your wireless router as it is now?

If not, then i would be looking at incompatibility between your router and the wireless hardware in the laptop. Usually that revolves around the wireless security. As mentioned above, try connecting without security (you will have to disable it in the router, and to create a new wireless profile, change the SSID in the router). If that works, then enable WEP and see if that works (changing SSID again). If that works, enable WPA (changing SSID again). If that goes, change your SSID again to something you want to keep an reconnect all your other wireless devices to the new SSID.

- note - the reason I have suggested changing SSIDs at every step is that then you don't have to go and delete the wireless profile on the PC every time you change something. If you would rather, you can delete the wireless profile on the laptop at every step and keep the SSID the same.

Try finding updated drivers for your wireless card.
