I splashed out US$5 for Start8 when I had Win8/8.1.
Its still running now I've upgraded to Win10.
The "Windows 8 menu" option loads the Win10 menu.

Stardock also have a Start10 addon in beta now if you want to try that out.

BenjNZ: An automatic update on my Surface Pro 3 this morning kicked me off our Network, stopped my external displays working and basically wrote off my day. Still not working, just googled how to go back (on my phone) and it said don't bother because as soon as you do it will update again! Windows 10 is great as long as you have all day to fart around trying to fix problems and you don't need the Internet......

which update is this?

Classic start menu works. Although, I just uninstalled it and ran the new start menu, you might prefer it.

surfisup1000: ... I wonder, did you do an upgrade or clean install?  ...
32-bit upgrade from 32-bit W7 Pro, then (dual boot) 64-bit Pro upgrade from W10 10162 64-bit which was originally a dual boot "clean install" of 9926. Both cases same result, ie Windows Photo Viewer available on right-click.

I like Win 10 but have rolled back to Win 7.  My Wifi was very very slow on Win 10 (some people online have the same issue).  Speedtests coming in at 20 - 50 Mbps.. roll back to Win 7 & back upto 100 Mbps

Get Office is a default app. Just right-click on it and uninstall. That's what I did.

Microsoft need to pay for the free OS upgrade somehow.

Just uninstall "Get Office". It is hardly "nagging".

On a tablet I'm sure it is probably better than Windows 7, but on a desktop PC I'm seeing few improvements, but a lot of negatives.
