floydbloke: So what happens after a year?  Do they hold your data but you can't access it until you pay a ransom? And if you don't pay up they delete it after xx time?

I reckon when the 2 years is up, 100GB will be the minimum amount for OneDrive and other services anyway, especially now that Flickr offers 1TB for photos.  Microsoft won't want to lose customers, so I bet they leave it at read and write and if you want more than 100GB you pay like you do now.
