dwknight: There's no guarantee you'll get it at the "launch" time. Microsoft doesn't want any problems so they are rolling it out slowly, and you'll only be offered it when they have scanned your computer and determined you won't have any issues with it.
There's no way to know, of course, but this could take anywhere from hours to weeks!

you will be able to download an ISO image and perform the upgrade even if it is not offered by Windows Update or by the Reservation prompt

Sorry I am not clear about this. My understanding is that if you don't have a reservation prompt, you can upgrade but you would need to purchase a key?

the reservation prompt has nothing to do with your eligibility to upgrade

if you have a Windows 7 or Windows 8 activated machine with a genuine license you can get a free Windows 10 upgrade through Windows Update or www.windows.com

I saw a few other reports saying its 8am in your local timezone as the official release. Many are pointing to this site:
https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/windowsforbusiness/default.aspx

@nathanm Can you confirm this or does it go live at midnight as you said?
