Unusually, I haven't had any issues at all. Normally it's the other way around for me. However, my usage is very undemanding. The only computer I have Win 10 on is my Acer notebook and the only things I use it for are email, browsing, some streaming and remote controlling my main streaming computer. Also, I don't allow automatic updates but do them manually from time to time. Anniversary went off without a hitch, all drivers working well, no other issues. You lose some, you win some.

External usb3 drive keeps locking up. Suspect windows is putting it to sleep when not in use. Only started happening after the update.

Took drastic measures to fix the problem and bought a PCIe SSD.

To clarify my issues with one client site. Got 24 new HP ProBook 640 G2 laptops, 31 new HP EliteDesk 800 G2 desktop minis and 6 new MS Surface Pro 4's. All running anniversary update now.

ONLY the laptops have thrown up issues - probably 8-ish of them

The August anniversary update didn't cause me any major issues, but the last 2 days have been terrible.

My HP Probook seems to grind to a halt when there are Windows updates to install. Yesterday when I turned it on in a café it was so unresponsive it took a battery removal to get it to restart.. And then 45 mins to install Windows updates incl 3 reboots in that time. I just had to sit there any not get anything done.

Back to the café to get some work done before work this morning and upon pressing the power button to take it out of sleep it blue screened. Upon reboot it started performing more Windows updates with 2 reboots which was nearly another 20 mins of getting nothing done.

Didn't cause me any real issues but last Monday my wifes PC at work did a shutdown and reboot about 2.00 pm and proceeded to do the update. She was a little pissed..

One of my desktops is now unusable - not sure if because of this update as there was a power cut in the weekend at the office so it may not have restarted gracefully. Now the networking does not work. Any network device, it can load the driver but can't start the device. In device manager always a yellow exclamation mark and either code 1 or code 31. The computer is unusable with no networking. Job this weekend is to try and fix it...

Wind 8 pro upgraded to 8.1 and then 10.

Even though I am not a huge fan of W10 stability, this is a really poor way to look at things.

These are a minuscule percentage of the number of computers that got the update, and some of these people are saying it's working fine for them.

Not to mention, what most people lose by not having the latest security updates, is far worse than passing stability issues.

It's akin to refusing inoculations because it gives some people flu-like symptoms.

Dont you just love it when Microsoft decide to commandeer your computer against your own will. I turned my laptop on needing to do an urgent email and bank transfer when it decided to do the upgrade.

No, no issues at all on any of the machines I look after -- ASUS 32-bit tablet, 2 generic PB-Tech 64-bit I5s (3 and 1 year old), 10-year old Toshiba laptop, and a Microsoft 640 phone on the fast ring! I'm really liking Win10! But updates can take a time on my very slow internet connection.
