Yep - that router came with ISP firmware with their NTP server top of the list, but it wasn't working.

 

I have no idea if wrong time on the router would cause issues.

 

I also don't know if I'd be causing myself issues if I updated the firmware manually from the Netcomm site.

 

Slingshot don't seem to have updated custom firmware on their site.

Your post sounds remarkably like the problem my wife's Windows 10 PC was experiencing - even down to the "reset DNS" shortcut to resolve it!

 

We fixed it in the end by turning off DNS Proxy in the router.  (Orcon NF4V)

 

(Advanced Settings / DNS Proxy)

 

 

3 or 4 days, no repeat of the DNS error issues after following that instruction.

 

I presume that a firmware update to the NF4V would solve the issue.
