I forgot to mention 2 things

a; when you run Hijack this make sure windows is showing all hidden files. if your not sure how to do this do a quick google shouldnt be hard to find

b: run ccleaner, go to the advanced tab and uncheck the box that says delte files that have been accesed in the last 24hours.

c: do all your scans and cleaners and hi jack this in safe mode.

if you not sure how to do this start your computer and keep hitting F8. you will get an option to boot to safe mode with networking. if you choose this one you can still update malware bytes etc in safe mode.
you probly carnt run avast in safe mode that will have to be run in normal mode.

16Mb (EDO RAM), K6-II processor, 2Mb of onboard graphics. 32k dial up modem. 12 speed CD ROM. 5¼-inch floppy drive. 500Mb HDD.

hi guys :D
pc was defragged by using auslogics because windows was on the 15th pass :S

i used avast and followed all the directions from 'heretohelp' which worked fine

as amazing as it seems, i think microsoft security essentials was a large part of the problem!

cheers to all, im now running at amazing speeds, also with a little overclock of my cpu its perfect 110%

no more complaints about my rig. for now :D

ya i would agree. microsoft esentials is the cause of a lot of problems. People just dont belive me and think they know.

did you by chance run the malware bytes?

how did the avast boot scan go did you find anything?
