IME, the Blu-ray digital copies that I have registered with my iTunes/Apple account have no problem getting re-registered when I do a clean install. All I do is enter my Apple ID and password when prompted after I attempt to play them.

It appears using them with Windows Media Player is a once off thing, and when you do a clean install, they become useless as the DRM is not linked with any account.

Unfortunately, not that I know of.

The triple play Blu-ray sets also have a DVD version right.....? ;-)

Yes, it's the DVD version in may cases that carries the DRM content. It looks like I'm stuck between the rock and hard place. The devices I have (Nokia N8 and Galaxy S II) don't play with iTunes, but WMP doesn't support transport.

Sure, but not on mobile devices, including my laptop which doesn't have an opticval drive.

Sure, but not on mobile devices, including my laptop which doesn't have an opticval drive.

Its possible to remove the DRM off of your own personal DVDs, Google it.

I've managed to reload all but one of my Digital Copies onto iTunes, with one title loaded to WMP (Sherlock Holmes, appears to have been an experiment by the distributor that they abandoned as the second film is iTunes compatible).

When it comes to DRM, Apple wins hands down.
