It will read all your HDD data, and ensure that it is still readable and writable - some datablocks are rarely read because they are not accessed that often. Read Once, Write Never ...

Interesting product, but "Continuously scans all of your hard drives" doesn't sound ideal - doing it occasionally sounds good, but not constantly.

Edit - it does say "The file system check is flexible, it has its own re-check interval, and can be disabled globally or per-disk". So that's ok.

this.

i get frustrated enough when i head to bed for the night, just start settling in, and my indexing processes, reading a whole disk... that would go on for awhile.

while this would be a nice warning sign, imo it wouldnt be worth it..
