I am giving it one last chance, otherwise it is Dropbox if it fails again.

I'm trying to help - you can always log a proper support call, rather than someone doing it in their personal time

I find my Dropbox fails synchronisation from time to time, no one is immune to issues

You're doing great... As I commented before the main support channel for consumers is the support forums, where you don't see much Microsoft people posting and even MVPs are an endangered species.

Right, an update on this...

Since the last post Skydrive on my laptop was failing to sync one file only. No matter what I did (updating the file, copying over, removing it) Skydrive was showing an error for this file.

Also I had come to accept that Skydrive did not support Bitlocked external storage since moving the Skydrive folder to a microSD on my tablet caused problems.

This month's Windows Update included a patch for Skydrive. After installing the update SkyDrive on my laptop managed to reset itself and reconcile the problem file and I have successfully moved the SkyDrive folder from the internal storage to the bitlock microSD (and so far it seems ok).
