Lol.

I just now finally got around to putting 10 on our 4 year old Windows 7 Toshiba (4 G of RAM) which is wired up to our TV and streams via Air Video to our iPads.

All my files were where I left them including the Air Video Server software but it did delete Speccy and Ccleaner. No big deal, can grab ccleaner again. ;)

But here's the thing - it's not like they failed. Why should you have to reinstall them again? what a waste of time.

I've started a post on the slowness of the laptop. Interestingly MS is telling people to turn notifications, superfetch and other items off. There also seems to be disk contention issues around cloud file services such as dropbox, cubby, google drive etc.

I'd virtually guarantee they are just trying to work around an individual issue that you are having. You've already posted that you have used an app to rip out windows defender. I doubt your install is anything like standard.
