Wade: Finally got time to update my Stream8 last night, so far so good, what does amaze me is how different the user experience is on a 8in tablet vs 23" desktop. I don't mean this in a bad way either, quite the opposite, while the layout is completely familiar (have been running my desktop on W10 preview for months) I find instinctively I use the tablet in tablet mode for virtually everything without the compromise or flip mode feel of 8.1. On 8.1 i spent more time struggling in desktop mode than metro
So far so good, but the little 1gb ram atom is running quite satisfactorily on W10 with no drama

My Atom [N550 dual core 1.5Ghz] with 2GB RAM runs well too with Win10, my idle RAM use is 1GB so I presume yours is paging a lot ?
richrdh18: Completed the upgrade on 1 desktop gaming machine, no problems. And two laptops, no issues that it noticed.
Was a bit mystified as to where Ms Security Essentials has gone to, so I tried to reinstall it and Windows told me not to bother as it had an up-to-date windows defender installed which would take care of things???? Not sure on this? Will see how things go over the next few weeks. Was thinking of doing a clean install on my main desktop pc but might give that a miss.
Plesse igmore amd axxept applogies in adbance fir anu typos
Rikkitic: Still having problems with Win 10. The latest is that I now get Chrome Aw Snap errors when trying to save web pages as pdf files from my Chrome Sllimjet browser. I don't know if the fault is with Windows or Slimjet but this always worked perfectly under 8.1 and now it doesn't. I did not install the preview version because I did not want to be a beta tester. This is supposed to be a release version but I am still encountering beta-type issues that shouldn't be there. I don't want to have to hack things any more. This still feels experimental but I want it to just work so I can get on with the things I need to do.
networkn: Right now I am feeling serious rage. I cannot get Windows 10 to stop hijacking my default video player choice. I am not kidding, if I leave the machine alone for a while, when I come back, the defaults I have specifically set are reset and it's using the inbuilt player, which has an ANNOYING lag. I keep going into the default apps and setting it to VLC, but after a while it's back.

I have experienced a few issues with Chrome in general, its scrolling in W10 is not flash and I have seen some font rendering issues. It also gobbles RAM so I have stopped using it. I have Edge as default and use Firefox as alternative.
SumnerBoy: Run the disk clean up tool on that drive and select the advanced options - there should be an option there to remove *old windows* installations.

Do you find Edge slows down a bit after awhile?
